Why I wrote this book
Have you had a heart attack or do you suffer from a heart condition ... or do you know someone who has?
Travels with My Heart is designed as an antidote to the shock and depression that often follows a cardiac incident. Written in a light-hearted way, this book is deadly serious about the value of adventurous and unusual travel as a route to mental and physical recovery.
The book is packed with travel and health information, plus lovely descriptions of the author's own travel adventures.

Robin Liston is a journalist and public relations consultant who has travelled to over 35 countries. His travels started fifty years ago when, aged ten, he set off to the North of France to rescue his grandmother from her job as a travel courier in a grotty seaside resort. He won an English-Speaking Union scholarship to the United States in the mid-sixties and then got a sociology degree at the University of Kent. He has worked as a local newspaper reporter, editor of several obscure trade magazines, a village shopkeeper and as a political lobbyist. He lives in North London and has two children and two grandchildren, as well as twenty five Mexican cousins.
