Why I wrote this book

I have always been interested in what makes people tick and I have always enjoyed writing. I’ve also had a lot of unusual experiences outside what most people accept as ‘normal life’ - experiences I share with my main character, Wil Sterling. Hypnosis, sleep paralysis, insomnia and the paranormal - to mention a few. If you add this to the challenge of completing a book it made it irresistible.

Synopsis

At the top of a hill in Baracchella, Calabria, settled among the trees and overlooking a lake, stands a formidable looking house. It dates back to a time long before the Roman ruins which now lie beneath it. It is older than a generation and younger than its name yet continues to live up to it. This is the Casa Di Segreto... the House of Secrets.

Wil Sterling is too tired to sleep and too exhausted to work. After being dumped and robbed by his girlfriend and deserted by his friends, he is contacted by the spirit of an unknown, murdered, Italian brother. This begins a search in Italy which reveals Wil is in line for a sizeable inheritance – but only if he can solve the murder.

He soon changes from a man crippled by insomnia, nightmares and sleep paralysis, into a man with a new love, new friends and a new purpose. He realizes there’s more at stake than justice for his brother alone. This is also his own journey to the truth and all roads seem to lead to the Casa Di Segreto.
