Why I wrote this book
I was inspired to write Midnight Mischief by the many fantastic posters surrounding me in my sons’ rooms as I read bedtime stories. I found myself imagining one of the posters coming alive and the adventures that would follow. Once the idea had taken shape writing it was relatively easy, well, it was fun anyway! The difficult bit is trying to find time to write in a very lively household, if it’s not the boys needing something, it’s one of the pets!
Midnight Mischief is written in the style that I like to read. It flows and rhymes and is as enjoyable for the adult reading as for the child listening. I think that it is very important to remember the grown-ups too!Buy this book if you want to send your child to bed dreaming of fun filled space adventures, and with a sense of wonder that anything can happen to little people when the lights have gone out and the rest of the world is asleep.
Whewn asked, Which three authors’ work would you compare your writing to? Victoria saod Giles Andreae, Mara Bergman and Tony Mitton
