Why I wrote this book

The main reason and point in writing the book was because I have witnessed many wars. I was always worried and feeling anxious about my loved ones, my mother, brothers, sisters, father that they would come to some harm. I felt love for them. There are very few love books that offer insight into the nature of love during war. It shows that even with brutality and savagery there can be love. The reason I want people to buy my book is that love exists in all of us. Love is not restricted in one place but it is universal. The love of a couple is great. We can all face war but never lose love. Love means peace and war means destruction.

Synopsis

After five million years of peace there is a war that shatters the peace that people had enjoyed and taken for granted. Bombit and Mombit find themselves escaping the war. Their marriage is destroyed and the couple become displaced. Bombit does not know where Mombit, his wife is hiding. Bombit has false leads and his life faces many obstacles as he tries to relocate his wife. The war can destroy their lives.

The war makes them homeless, penniless and powerless to stop the war. Looters ransack their house which becomes a haunt for wild animals. They cannot salvage any of their treasures and precious possessions. The love that exists between Bombit and Mombit cannot be destroyed. Their love is stronger than war.

Bombit finds that he can’t find his wife in many places but finds that war has not only failed to bring peace but caused destruction. There is death, isolation and savagery. There is anarchy and pandemonium which cannot be eradicated. There is no leader in the village who can be relied upon.

The war fails to reunite the couple. Bombit finds that the war has displaced many people. There is massive destruction in the village and there is no trust among the people. People are suspicious. Bombit searches for peace but finds that his time is taken up trying to relocate his wife. In the beginning Bombit and Mombit are confronted by rebels who raid their house. They escape following different escape routes. They leave their house which is left to looters to make off with their possessions.

They remain separated during the duration of the war. Mombit is captured by rebels and is forced into love by the rebel leader. She gives birth but feels guilty. She decides to abandon the child in the hope of finding Bombit. She loves Bombit and feels that she has betrayed him by giving birth to the child. Eventually Bombit is forced to kill his wife as he never recognises her.

The novel is a study in the nature of war and everyone becomes a victim. The couple are separated but war cannot destroy their love.
