As to why I started to write, I have no idea. But it seems that it was meant to be, the ideas and characters just explode from my brain like they have always been there. In the past I had a passion for unarmed combat which lead me into going to the gym and spending most of my time keeping fit.
This all came in quite handy when writing CHASING STONE. Because I could bring a realism to the fight scenes. I didn’t want this to be just another shootem up book where no matter how high the odds the big hero always wins. Tom Stone is a world class assassin but he is human. He bleeds and bruise’s the same as anyone else. This brings a truly harsh reality to Chasing Stone, the explosion of hard hitting fist and gun fights that mix’s into the very normal world or everyday people will have any reader glued to the pages. In my early 20s I spent most of my time working hard and going to the gym, I also studied unarmed combat, shooting ,climbing, caving, and various styles of martial arts. I started my building company when I was 35 and rapidly became very busy. In 2000 we moved to Scotland after enjoying a relaxed holiday in the Highlands. I started writing mid summer of 2005, I still do not know what gave me the urge to became a writer but now I have started I just cannot stop, I love the whole creation process of bringing a character to life. The detail of a car chase and the adrenalin of the chase. I now run a pet friendly B&B with my wife Sheila. We have 3 dogs Branston, Yogi, and Ben.
I love writing and have many more thrillers to come. The follow up to Chasing Stone is already complete 'EVOLUTION SERUM' and the 3rd in the set is well on the way 'INFINITE POINT' I hope you enjoy my books and look forward to any feed back and comments.
