Synopsis

A varied collection of fiction, short stories and poetry in four parts.

Catch-22-SAS is set in the summer of 1987. With the fictitious John Parker having upset everyone in the village in East Anglia, where he lives and works, he decides to move to a town in the North of England – where he finds the lifestyle he has been looking for. Upset things don't go all John’s way, and with John working as a barman, Sarah, a barmaid, is to become his chief tormentor. Unsure what the fuss is about (with John having several relationships) things are to come to a head, when his former friends in East Anglia pay John a surprise visit.
Having to leave in a hurry – with all and sundry chasing after him – does John, when finally arriving in Henley-on-Thames, get the come-uppance he deserves?

Twister is expelled from his family by his father for having white fur and Chi’s mother dies, causing her to lose her siblings to her father. The two meet by chance in Dell Woods. But the meeting ultimately proves to have fatal consequences.

About the Author

Paul Cox Having been born in Sutton Coldfield, at 15, I joined the Royal Navy as a mechanic and travelled the world.  After leaving the Royal navy, I spent 2 years working on the oil supply vessels to the oil rigs - before working in the Hotel and Restaurant trade as a time served chef in East Anglia and Cumbria for 13 years.  Leaving the Hotel trade, I retrained as a carpenter and joiner, and worked the building trade and as a handyperson in a factory for 5 years.  With me suffering from a stress related illness, I went full time to college in Preston, achieving GCSE's and A-levels, before doing my history degree at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston.  That is when I decided to write my book, with me putting in my knowledge of all the things I have seen and done, and all the places and adventures I have had,  They say everybody has a book in them: this is mine.
I am currently living back in my home town of Sutton Coldfield.
