Why I wrote this book
This story comes from a perceived need to meet the problems of many a couple in today’s stressful world; to allow understanding that relationships may be unravelled and re-knitted without the world coming to a proverbial end. At the same time it can provide stimulation for anyone wishing to re-ignite the passion in their world, apart from being a tiny bit of escapism.
Synopsis
A romantic novel set in rural Bedfordshire, with a visit to Southern Ireland. A twenty-year old marriage has become stale, and both partners are unwittingly seeking new horizons. The one, with her energies directed towards good works in the locality, accepts a dramatic challenge. The other, unsure of his way ahead, meets a woman who desperately needs someone to live and cherish her, after a bitter experience which leaves her feeling empty.
The story develops around the ‘contours’ of their lives, and how a third dimension mirrors the needs of both, ultimately bringing them to the realization of their new roles, and how it will bring satisfaction and meaning to their changing world . .
A totally believable story line moves smoothly and grippingly through the different revelations of individual characters, through descriptive scene settings both in the UK and Ireland; pulls no punches, and has a heart-warming conclusion.
