David Cargill
David was born in Dumfries. A teaching career, a lifelong interest in stage magic and the writings of John Dickson Carr kindled his interest in writing. He is a member of the Society of American Magicians.
Other achievements in a varied life: Represented Scotland in sprint relay team at Air Training Corps Championships at White City, London, as an 18 year old. One time Associate of the Royal Photographic Society and three times overall winner of the “Showtime on Ice” Photographic Competition at Blackpool Pleasure Beach Ice Drome. Winner of the Racing Post award for his letter writing. In 1994/95 he was outright UK winner of the Ladbrokes Soccer Tipping Competition.
