Tajalli Keshavarz has years of experience in writing scientific papers, serving on editorial boards and conducting academic work in the field of biotechnology research. His latest writing project however is a departure for him-a novel.

Between Cups of Coffee is a fictional and existential examination of relationships and human nature.
Influenced by writers such as Milan Kundera, Tajalli describes his book as: ‘portraying an ordinary man with an ordinary life enjoying his daily discourse vacillating between the mundane and the sublime, a man with misconceptions about himself and his relations with the women in his life.’

Born in Tehran and educated as a chemical engineer, Tajalli moved to the UK in 1978 and studied for a MSc and PhD in Biochemical Engineering at University College London. He currently works as a Research Director in the School of Life Sciences, University of Westminster.
