Nick Waugh-Bacchus
Born in London in 1968 Nick moved to Basingstoke with his parents and older brother a couple of years later. Although he always enjoyed writing he only really started to ‘go public’ with this at his first workplace – a well known high street bank. A new found self confidence, brought about by becoming a father at the age of twenty, in turn brought Nick out of his shell and he started to write and perform in Christmas pantomimes at his work. These quickly blossomed into 45 minute well scripted, if pretty poorly performed, plays which always went down very well with the majority of staff if not the management. A subsequent staff magazine co written by Nick didn’t last too long before it was banned – by the management – on account that the small work content was somewhat overshadowed by the remaining irreverent and potentially libelous content.
In his spare time Nick also presents an on-line radio show on Radio UK International where he combines a mixture of amusing and entertaining waffle with great music. Nick has a love of music and composed the scores for both his wedding and for an amateur production of The Long Good Friday which played the Edinburgh Festival.
