Born in 1943, William Roe spent his youth in the bucolic environment of rural Ireland. In the sixties he emigrated to England and later, working in Ireland, he saw that country transform itself into a modern, multi-cultural society. He has been writing since childhood. He is a widower with a son and a daughter.
