Tim Buckley has spent more than ten years as a marketing and communications professional in the telecommunications and technology industries. He has worked closely with the press and with market analysts and his work has been published in business journals and trade publications.

Tim currently works as a freelance communications consultant. A fully qualified Chartered Accountant, he holds an Honours degree from University College, Dublin. Bad Things Happen is his first novel. Tim has personal experience of many of the themes explored in Bad Things Happen - the relentless pressure of the modern urban corporate world, the rootless transience of a life on the move. He has experience, too, of bad things happening in an adopted homeland. A cycling accident while training in the French Alps in 2007 almost cost him his life – and forced him to reassess his life’s priorities.

Tim is a keen long-distance runner and triathlete, with ten marathons and five Ironman triathlons to his name. An Irish national, he has spent much of his life living overseas, including spells in South Africa, the UK, and France. He currently lives with his wife in Switzerland.
